Everything you need to know about renting equipment with ETS

It depends on the type and size of the equipment. For safety and insurance reasons, larger machines are usually delivered by our team directly to your job site. This includes equipment like large excavators, telehandlers, and heavy lifts. For smaller equipment (generally under about 10,000 lbs), you can pick it up yourself if you have the proper trailer or transport. If you're unsure whether your rental qualifies for pickup, just contact us and we'll guide you.

In most cases, yes. Incidental damage may be covered by the Damage Waiver. For complete details on our rental policies, please refer to the Terms & Conditions outlined in the provided Rental Agreement. The most common damage is tires, but when it comes to equipment defects, for example, hydraulic hoses. If you have further questions, please check the terms on your contract or call our office for assistance.

Yes, in most cases we are able to deliver the equipment the next day. Please do keep in mind that early morning delivery times fill up quickly and may not be available. In some cases, if the equipment and trucks are available, we can deliver the same day.

4 hour = 4-hour rental available for select tools.

One Day Rental = One (1) 8-hour shift over a 24 hour period.

One Week Rental = Five (5) 8-hour shifts over a seven day period.

One Month Rental = Twenty (20) 8-hour shifts over a 28 day period.

All machines are delivered with a full tank, similar to a regular car rental. You receive the equipment ready to work and are expected to return it full. If you prefer, we can refuel it for you when it's returned. Just keep in mind that our fuel pricing may be different from local gas stations. Either option works — you can refill it yourself or let our team handle it.

We always do our best to deliver the equipment at the pre-arranged time; however, due to traffic conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances, we do not guarantee delivery time. If the equipment is delivered outside of a four-hour delivery window, please call us. If you have a specific time that the equipment must be delivered, please notify us in advance.

The Rental Equipment Protection Plan is optional coverage offered by ETS to help reduce the financial risk of unexpected damage during the rental period. More info

The plan is especially helpful for:

Contractors working on active construction sites
Projects involving tight spaces or heavy materials
Jobs exposed to weather, terrain, or environmental risks
Teams renting unfamiliar equipment for the first time

Yes. ETS can rent regulated equipment to customers who hold a valid Temporary Hoisting Permit or a full Hoisting Engineer License, as required by Massachusetts law. We verify that the operator is properly licensed before releasing the equipment.
